Wala Connections offers a range of programs, workshops and events for all people with a focus on our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
We pride ourselves in our versatility and willingness to adapt and create needs based initiatives with creative expression, healing and wellbeing the focus of everything we do.
We welcome collaborations with individuals and organisations advocating for better health, education, cultural freedoms and futures for our people and invite you to contact us to discuss how we can support your

Youth & Women's Community Groups
Wala cater workshops and programs for community womens, youth and children's groups and events, offering creative and engaging ways to connect to self, culture and country and express and build confidence thorough movement.
We strive to create safe and inclusive spaces to explore and express through dance, language, song, spoken word, music and movement.
Dance Movement Therapy
“Movement is a Universal Language communicated through the body. It is the first language.” – Maria Sangiorgi, Dance Movement Therapist
Dance Movement Therapy is the relational and therapeutic use of dance and movement to further the physical, emotional, cognitive, social, and cultural alignment of a person.
We know and believe in the ancient healing powers of dance and movement and have been studying the skills of delivering Dance Movement Therapy to broaden our dance movement session to people of all abilities.
Wala Connections are excited to be delivering our first Dance Movement Therapy program to NDIS clients through Victoria’s Stolen Generations Services, Connecting Home, in March 2021.
